2024 has been a very exciting year at OptiRTC! I want to thank our terrific customers and partners for their ongoing commitment to Opti’s stormwater management solution - this year has been a remarkable year of growth and innovation. Together, we are ‘Crossing the Chasm’. What is so important about Crossing the Chasm? Geoffrey Moore’s landmark book has become the best practice for major technology companies in working with their customers.
For any digital solution, we must align people, process, and technology. Therefore, at Opti, we take a strong focus on the people and process issues in technology adoption. This past February, at Opti’s Annual Summit, one of Opti’s customers traveled through Crossing the Chasm with us, providing us with valuable insights and epiphanies. We learned a great deal about the change management needs for our customers’ teammates, and how to effectively communicate the positive water quality improvements to their communities.
In addition to increasing our customer base, we have many clients that have transitioned from individual Opti sites to a network of multiple Opti sites. They are now adding Opti to many more assets, from underground detention to green infrastructure. Additionally, our Smart Watershed Management (SWM) module is now providing ‘water traffic management for watersheds’ to many customers. SWM performance results exceed the sum of the single site performance outcomes.
During September and October, Opti sites performed very well across the Southeast, despite several significant storm events such as Hurricanes Milton and Helene. We kept people out of harm's way and helped preserve valuable properties. In several instances, customers called to thank Opti for the 'Peace of Mind’ they experienced knowing the Opti system was adapting in real-time to local hurricane conditions, preventing flooding in several communities.
Moving into 2025, Opti is continuing to bring stormwater innovations into the marketplace:
2. For any digital solution to achieve its goal, a true alignment of people, process, and technology is a must have. Opti will be providing system implementation methodology documentation to our AEC partners and end-users. This methodology will further enable our partners and end-users to implement Opti themselves, ensuring a comprehensive solution.
3. The new end-user experience will also include a powerful reporting tool, allowing users to quickly and easily create their own summary report to assess and quantify asset performance.
In 2025, stay tuned to learn how Opti future proofs your properties and communities through our award winning SaaS platform.
And finally, a big thank you to our customers and partners. Without you, we would not have the ideas and concepts to innovate on and bring to market. Our way of thanking our community will be delivered in our next generation product. This is our testimony of the importance and great values found in our Stormwater Engineering community.
